HIT THE STREETS: NASHVILLE STREET STYLE / BOYS

Saturday, October 12, 2013

NASHVILLE STREET STYLE / BOYS
Belmont. One of my favorites places to people watch. While people watching, you can grab a coffee at BONGO JAVA, do a lot of damage to your bank account at LOCAL HONEY and once you've worked up an appetite - visit my favorite sushi / asian inspired spot, PM

But hey, ladies. Belmont also has another upside: stylish boys.

STACEY RHODES BOUTIQUE TRUNK SHOW FEATURING SUNGLASSES FROM TOM FORD & ROBERTO CAVALLI

Monday, July 1, 2013

Cathi Aycock, self proclaimed shopping diva and fashion columnist for The Tennessean together with Stacey Rhodes Boutique threw together a stylish little trunk show a few weeks back - part of Cathi's 'Who What Wear' event series - featuring an assortment of Tom Ford and Roberto Cavalli sunglasses with complimentary champagne and snacks.

Cathi's 'Who What Wear' focuses on taste makers, boutiques and other stylish activities in Nashville. We all had a great time gossiping, shopping and trying on all of the chic sunglasses!

Take a peek inside Stacey's boutique - her style is bright and colorful and absolutely perfect for summer. I don't know about you, but this trendy tropical print blazer and matching printed short (Blazer seen below - shorts not pictured) is on the tip-top of my list. Or what about her quality selection of jewelry? Stacey has an eye for all that is stylish and I'm sure her sales staff would be happy to help you find something that is just right for you.

Thanks to Stacey and Cathi for putting everything together! Also be sure and check out SRB's SUMMER SALE which is going on right now with items up to 40% off.

SIX GLAMOROUS SUMMER LOOKS FROM LOCAL HONEY'S NEWEST BRAND, ERA!

Monday, May 20, 2013

Kaitlyn Crocker of ERA is a woman on a mission. She has hand selected a beautiful collection of vintage finery for those of us who have grown bored with the overly-typical bohemian selection abounding in Nashville thrift spots and vintage shops lately - giving us a chic and sporty alternative to flouncy and floral.

Want to know what makes this collection even more appealing? Every single item comes straight from her Grandmother's incredible time machine closet, consisting of pieces from the 1950s through the 1970s - all in great shape and ready to romp in!

Nothing makes an item more appealing than when it has history, and some of my best wardrobe pieces have stories all their own - something I love sharing with anyone who asks about them, or anyone I can sucker into listening to me.

Kaitlyn will be more than happy to share her Grandmother's clothes and fun anecdotes with you if you stop by while she's floating around Local Honey. She's such a joy to talk to!

So, wear her Grandma's clothes. You'll look incredible.

I sat here for like, 20 minutes trying to figure out a way to incorporate that song  joke...

LOCAL HONEY x2

Thursday, May 9, 2013

I was going to say something all cutesy like "These are the REAL Local Honeys." but I thought I'd let these pictures just speak for themselves:

Model Peek-a-Boo!

Now. Just LOOK at this stylish group. All up on their A-GAME (I said that in a really sassy voice inside my head)  I couldn't possibly be more in love with men's collar embellishments! Let's just talk about this! If I felt it were acceptable to still be saying the word ' AMAZE ' I would.
..Damn.

Oh, and the stunner in the center is my fashion goddess Codie of A Brunette. She alters all of her own dresses. crafty. (and she'll let you shop her closet if you're real, real sweet.)

Babes in glasses.

I stalk Renee's fashion from afar. I'm sorry I'm an internet stalker Renee! But really. This girl knows whats up.

I'm wearing:  Skirt / Urban Outfitters + Top / American Apparel + Necklace / Vintage + Shoes / Jeffrey Campbell
I'm also wearing an awkward sunbeam as a chin-guard or something. sweet!

I bet you recognize this face! One of my favorite people to run into, Zoe of GIRL WITH THE FLOWER  always has on something incredible.  I feel like I'm surrounded by the glories of springtime every time I see her, and she's just as sweet.  She made that super cool blue fur bag! And probably everything else she's wearing. Can I plz borrow some of your crafty-ness?!

I love it when ladies do dots & stripes! This whole outfit was summer time chic and that lipstick shade was a lovely compliment to her style.

I'm not gonna lie, white pants are both my deepest love and darkest enemy. I can't own a pair because my face and utensils often torture me by failing to work properly when eating messy, greasy, stain-y foods. But I love them. SO, SO MUCH.  White pants I mean. Not stain-y foods.

But all that aside - this wonder-in-white pulled them off with perfection and brought the whole outfit together with a tough girl camouflage tee and
cage-esque boots.

The beautiful Balee Greer. Guess which collection she curated!
I've never seen Balee in anything I haven't loved. She pulls off any trend with ease and if it isn't a trend yet, she'll create it. Even better? She has a spring and summer line that you'll swoon for. Best of all? It's super affordable.

Stop by East Side's Wax Nashville Nail Lounge Saturday, May 11th 10am - 4pm for Balee's Trunk Show

BLACK MAMBA VINTAGE // OPEN HOUSE AT ERABELLUM ARTISAN CO-OP

Thursday, April 25, 2013

BLACK MAMBA VINTAGE
Vintage clothing in Nashville is an incredibly over saturated market, and you can't throw a rock in this town without hitting at least twenty people who sell it.

That being said, the tough part is weeding through the duds to find the most spectacular selections with the best price points. Chrissy Radford made this easy for you! Not only does she have impeccable taste, but a great eye for all that's old and glamorous.

You can find her sweet selection for sale at Erabellum Artisan Co-Op - a great place to visit if you're ever in Nashville.

Her sassy and stylish selection consists of high and low price points so it's shoppable by all! I bought a spectacular silver harem pant jumpsuit that I'll be rocking all summer. You'll be jealous when you see how perfect it is. But don't be TOO jealous, just go visit Black Mamba Vintage and buy your own amazing vintage ensemble!
