5 FANCY FESTIVAL SEASON MUST HAVES

Whether you're preparing to enjoy Coachella, Bonnaroo or just a sweet little local backyard fest with a handful of your best friend's bands, you can still be looking hot as the coming summer heat with these 5 tips for looking fancy this festival season.

1. The Perfect Sunshine Yellow

Try this sunny shade to brighten up your outdoor experience. The sun is shining, and you should be too. Try mixing in a bit of yellow if you're not bold enough to wear a full statement piece by adding yellow accessories. Some yellows can wash you out, so be sure to do a quick test by holding the shade up to your skin in natural lighting.

2. Forget Jewelry, Try Festival Paint

For little to nothing you can create a style all your own using face paint, acrylic paint or body paint to create fun geometric prints, tribal stripes, or write out the lyrics to your favorite song! The options are limitless. Thanks Free People!

3. Spring/Summer Perfect Nails

Now runway styles can literally be at your fingertips. These perfect floral polish strips last up to ten days and would be the perfect companion to your adorable festival wardrobe. The designs finally hit stores this month and should be available nationwide. For about $10, you can beat the buzz kill of your local nail salon and do it yourself for less!

4. FLORAL HEADBANDS

Both can be found over at Free People.

I had initially posted about floral headgear HERE and I've got to admit my taste for the trend has not changed, I still love them! I can't wait to get started on a few DIY versions myself, since I'm not fancy enough to spend more than $20 on flowers. If you've given this DIY a try, send me pictures. I would love to post your look on the blog!

5. Let the Sunshine in! Or... Keep it out!

I really couldn't imagine festival season without sunglasses. I'm also really happy to see such great shapes this year. I'm a big fan of round frames so this season was made for me! It's important to try and find sunglasses that fit your face correctly - I can't handle seeing girls who let their beautiful faces be swallowed up by giant bug eyed shades. Let those pretty faces free and try something minimal this year.
